About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Tax Manager to join our team. In this role, you will assist in preparing and reviewing tax returns, supporting tax planning, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. In addition, assist with other tax and accounting projects as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations and a passion for providing exceptional service to clients. We require in office during tax season and hybrid post tax season.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare or review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with IRS guidelines and state tax regulations.
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual tax projections.
  • Conduct research on tax issues and assist in developing tax strategies for clients.
  • Review financial statements and supporting documentation for tax compliance.
  • Assist in resolving tax-related inquiries from clients, the IRS, and other taxing authorities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with management to ensure accurate and timely completion of client deliverables.
  • Assist with other tax and accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA, EA, or in-progress certification preferred, but not required.
  • 4+ years of experience in tax preparation and review or public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
  • Experience with tax software (e.g., Lacerte, CCH Tax or similar).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.

Pay range and compensation package:

Competitive Salary:
$100,000 – $130,000+, adjusted for skill, experience, and performance.

Performance Incentive: Tax season bonus. bonus days off.
