About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated This entry-level position will support tax, accounting, and client service engagements for individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations. The Staff Accountant I will assist with preparation of financial statements, bookkeeping, tax returns, reconciliations, and other accounting functions while working under the supervision of senior accounting professionals in a fast-paced CPA firm environment. We require in office during tax season and hybrid post tax season.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Assist with preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary and nonprofit tax returns.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual client accounting engagements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits and tax filings.
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
- Maintain accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities for clients.
- Communicate with clients and internal staff regarding accounting matters.
- Perform other related accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay range and compensation package:
Competitive Salary:
$61,152 – $76,543+, adjusted for skill, experience, and performance.

Performance Incentive: Tax season bonus. bonus days off.
