About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated This entry-level position will support tax, accounting, and client service engagements for individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations. This position will perform professional accounting and tax work for a diverse client base, including businesses, individuals, and nonprofit organizations. The Staff Accountant II will independently manage accounting engagements, prepare financial statements and tax returns, analyze financial information, and support audit and compliance activities while providing high-quality client service in a CPA firm environment.  We require in office during tax season and hybrid post tax season.
 
Responsibilities
  • Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary and nonprofit tax returns.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities for clients.
  • Prepare financial statements, schedules, and management reports.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts and investigate variances.
  • Assist with audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls.
  • Review accounting transactions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions.
Qualifications
  • CPA license or CPA eligibility preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Pay range and compensation package:
Competitive Salary:
$76,544 – $90,000, adjusted for skill, experience, and performance.
Performance Incentive: Tax season bonus. bonus days off.
